第一次听这首歌是在Meg Ryan的电影《city of angels》里，老套的故事在演绎的时候也是打动我的，男主角是个天使，他的名字叫seth，一个很神秘的名字，注定了他和他的爱人梦幻的爱情，他为了女孩子下凡人家，女孩子却意外上了天堂，他们只在那一刻交汇在同一空间，也许那一刻就是永恒了吧。

这首歌曲一定要看歌词哦，Joni Mitchell绝对是民谣歌坛的大腕，这首歌演绎的时候她应该已是上了年纪了，和当年诠释完全是两种感觉。英国才女emma thompson在love actually中有一段表演，她所扮演的那个角色，在得知自己丈夫有外遇时，眼睛一下湿润了，可是对于两个孩子的母亲，她不能流泪，所以在房间里她把眼泪给擦去了，出去时依然面带微笑，短短几分钟emma thompson把那种内心变化演绎的完美之至，画面里看到了cd唱机上放着Joni Mitchell的唱片，背景音乐就是这首both sides now，搭配的很恰当。
Joni Mitchell同时还是一个画家，据我所知她的画比她的唱片更值钱，也正是因为她画家的身份，所以Joni Mitchell写的歌词大多都如同中国古典诗词那样，营造了一种特殊的意境，你不妨细细体会，不过可不要旧病复发哦。
